Children

"Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it"

Your child's safety, happiness and learning experience is our priority in the Preschool Ministry of North Point. We believe it's never too early for a child to start learning about Jesus. Here at North Point we have a variety of learning opportunities for your preschoolers.

Here at North Point we offer a variety of fun and learning opportunities for our children (Birth - 6th grade):

  • Sunday School: Sunday School meets every Sunday morning at 9:45 . All classes are divided into age groups so lessons and activities can be designed to meet their developmental needs.
  • AWANA meets Sunday nights during the school year and serves children from 2 years of age through 6th grade.  AWANA equips children with the Word of God through Scripture memorization, Bible story time, and good, old-fashioned fun and games.
  • Vacation Bible School occurs during the summers.  This fun-filled week of teaching children about God and His love is a great way to ingrain the Word of God into children from an early age.
  • Nursery care is available for children ages 0 - 2 years during Sunday School and Worship time on Sunday and Wednesday.

youth

"Do not let anyone treat you as if you are unimportant because you are young. Instead, be an example to the believers with your words, your actions, your love, your faith, and your pure life."

Today’s teenagers face a multiplicity of problems. Here at North Point, our task is to help build a foundation of Biblical truth based on God’s Word. Our desire is to equip teenagers with the tools needed to combat and conquer when the “world” attacks. Teenagers are hungry for love, acceptance, approval and a clear direction on “which way to go”. Here in the youth ministry at North Point, we try to provide everything a teenager needs to find the purpose and direction God has for their life. Parents are always encouraged to be a part of our youth ministry!

Regular Youth activities include:

  • Sunday School | 10 am | This gathering is done in a large group setting with small group breakouts at the end. We use the XP3 Students Curriculum from the Orange Group and our Adult Leadership Team teaches it on rotation. We normally do a 3-4 week series at a time. Sunday mornings at youth is probably the best way to start your day. We enjoy coffee, music and games before each of our lessons.

  • Sunday Night Worship |6-7:30 pm| This gathering is done in a large group setting the entire time. We start the night off by catching up with friends while enjoying coffee, games, sodas, and LOTS of candy! The youth band leads us in a time of worship and Ian leads us in a 15-20 minute message on teachings that are relevant to today's youth. We end the night with prayers and celebrations and a bit more socializing.
  • Midweek |5:15 pm| This gathering is every week on Wednesday nights during the school year. We start with dinner in the fellowship hall at 5:15 but normal youth activities don't begin until 6:30 when we worship together as a church in the main auditorium. Following worship we head to the youth room for games and a large group discussion until 7:30. For more info on Wednesday nights see our FAMILY CHAMPIONS page under the CONNECT tab.

Adults

Here at North Point we offer many opportunities for Adults of all ages. We have places where you can serve, learn, and get to know other people. Some of these opportunities include:

  • Life Groups meet at various times throughout the week. They are a great way to make new friends as you study God's Word.
  • Sunday School meet on Sunday morning. We have numerous groups to plug into including multiple co-ed classes as well as a women's class and a men's class. Most classes are grouped by age, but feel free to visit and try out each one. Our classes often do outside fellowship activities, in addition to ministering to you during difficulties, so we encourage everyone to get involved in a group.
  • Discipleship Classes meet on Sunday  and Wednesday evenings.  These opportunities are designed to deepen your walk with Christ. Every 6-8 weeks we address new topics for discussion, reflection and learning. To learn about what classes we are currently offering, call or email the church office. At different times of the year, discipleship is also offered on Wednesday nights.
  • Prayer and Praise Time meets Wednesday evenings at 6:30 and includes and fellowship as a group and smaller group prayer time to lift up and encourage one another .
